On February 1st Aegis Networking Solutions had the privilege and honor of being invited to Choices 29th annual meeting. This was an opportunity for Staff to attend an event and show support for one of our favorite clients. Choices’ never ending diligence in fighting against domestic violence is a goal Aegis proudly supports. This event held at the Limited’s very impressive Columbus based facilities was very enjoyable, with good food and an outstanding address made by the guest keynote speaker Franklin County Commissioner Paula Brooks. We welcome all our visitors to our site to take the time and check out all the fine work Choices does in our community. 01/31/2007  Client Makes Headlines 

On Wednesday, January 31, 2007 a fire broke out at our client Jerry Spears Funeral Home, located on West Broad Street. Our tech on duty reported a server outage at 1:18 p.m., noticing we no longer had any communication with the Spears network. The server that was located in the building was completely destroyed due to the fire. Once the server went offline, the client lost their email and website, as well as a large database of information. The Aegis team was able to transfer the Spears website and email over to an Aegis server in a couple hours, thus limiting the client’s downtime. Once on the scene, we were able to see the extent of the damage; the client needed solutions and needed them quickly. Our Aegis techs were able to have phones and internet relocated to a temporary office facility on the Spears property by the next day. We would like to remind everyone of the importance of doing regular backups and keeping your data safe.
